Fiscal Control Box (Swedish Cash Register Law)

    1 min read#20

Vendion complies with Swedish cash register law (SKVFS 2014:9) with a fiscal control box integration.

What is a control box? A control box is a device that secures each receipt with a unique control code. It is a legal requirement for all cash registers in Sweden.

    How it works in Vendion:

    1. You complete a payment in the POS
    2. The system sends transaction data to the control box
    3. The control box returns a control code and reconciliation code
    4. The codes are printed on the receipt
    5. The transaction is logged in a tamper-proof journal

Per workstation: Each register has its own registration with the control box with a unique register designation (e.g. "Register1", "Register2").

Important: If the control box cannot be reached, the payment is blocked. It is a legal requirement – no sales without a functioning fiscal system.

What is printed on the receipt:

    • Control code
    • Reconciliation code
    • Serial number (control box ID)
    • Software version
