Overview – Devices and Hardware
2 min read#50
All devices in your restaurant are managed under Settings → Devices & Hardware. This is where you configure what exists in your restaurant.
Four tabs:
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Registers (POS) | Register stations – where staff takes orders and processes payments |
| Kitchen screens (KDS) | Screens in the kitchen showing incoming orders |
| Express kiosks | Self-service kiosks (McDonald's-style) |
| Printers | Receipt and ticket printers linked to workstations |
Each device has:
- Name – e.g. "Register 1", "KDS Kitchen", "Express Entrance"
- Type – POS, KDS, Express or Waiter
- Linked printer (for POS and Express)
- Monthly fee (billed by Vendion)
Device types that are billed:
| Device type | Price/month |
|---|---|
| Register 1 (POS + hardware + receipt printer + control box) | per your price list |
| Register 2+ | per your price list |
| Terminal stationary | per your price list |
| Terminal mobile | per your price list |
| Ticket printer | per your price list |
You'll find current prices at vendion.com/pris or per your agreement.
Tips:
- Create all devices before configuring printers and ticket destinations
- Each register includes a POS computer, receipt printer and fiscal control box
- KDS screens don't need a printer – they display orders digitally
This feature is part of Vendion POS.
