Printers – Pair and Configure
2 min read#54
Vendion uses Epson TM-m30III thermal printers for receipts and kitchen tickets. Manage printers under Settings → Devices & Hardware → Printers.
Add a printer:
- Go to Settings → Devices & Hardware → Printers
- Click + New printer
- Fill in:
- Name (e.g. "Receipt Printer Register 1", "Ticket Printer Kitchen")
- MAC address / SDP ID (found on the printer's underside or network configuration)
- Type (Receipt printer or Ticket printer)
- Click Save
Find the MAC address / SDP ID:
- Print the printer's network status page (hold the feed button at startup)
- The MAC address looks like: "00:26:AB:12:34:56"
- The SDP ID is found in Epson ePOS settings
Link printer to workstation:
- Go to the register or express kiosk
- Select printer in the Default printer dropdown
- Save
Test print:
- Go to the printer in the list
- Click Test
- A test receipt prints if everything works
Printer types:
| Type | Usage |
|---|---|
| Receipt printer | Customer receipts, linked to register |
| Ticket printer | Kitchen/bar tickets, linked to ticket destination |
Troubleshooting:
- Printer not responding → check WiFi connection and MAC address
- Print is blank → check that the paper roll is correctly inserted
- Printer prints wrong tickets → check the ticket destination
Tips:
- Name printers clearly by location and type
- Do a test print immediately after configuration
- Kitchen ticket printers should have extra paper rolls nearby
This feature is part of Vendion POS.
