Send to kitchen dispatches items to the kitchen (KDS or ticket printer). Every product is routed to the right station – kitchen, bar, dessert – based on the ticket destinations you have configured in admin.
How manual dispatch works:
Automatic dispatch before payment: If Automatic kitchen dispatch is enabled in POS settings, any un-sent items are automatically dispatched the moment you press Pay. It ensures the kitchen never misses a line.
Kitchen routing via ticket destinations: Each product is assigned one or more ticket destinations (e.g. "KITCHEN", "BAR", "DESSERT"). Destinations use include/exclude rules per category:
| Destination | Includes | Excludes | Printer |
|---|---|---|---|
| KITCHEN | Starter, Main | – | Receipt in kitchen |
| BAR | Drinks | Water | Bar ticket |
| DESSERT | Dessert | – | Cold kitchen |
A single line can end up at multiple destinations at once (e.g. tapas that both the kitchen and bar prepare).
Send to kitchen multiple times: You can press Send to kitchen as often as you like during the same order. Only new (unsent) lines are dispatched – the kitchen never gets duplicates.

Tip: Combine auto-dispatch with split bills so the kitchen can start cooking while each guest pays separately.
