Guest count on the bill
Categories and articles
The till can ask how many guests are at the table when a new table bill is started. The count is saved on the bill and gives average per guest and guests per worked hour in the reports.
Turn it on:
- Open the till menu and choose Kassainställningar, or go to Admin → Enheter → Kassor and pick the till
- Under Beteende → Inslag & nota, choose a mode for Antal gäster på notan
The setting applies per till. If you have several tills, set each one separately.
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Av (Off) | The till does not ask. Default |
| Fråga (Ask) | The till asks when a new table bill is started. The question can be skipped |
| Kräv (Require) | The question cannot be skipped, and the till asks before payment if the count is missing |
Only table bills are affected. Bar and takeaway bills never ask.
What it looks like on the till:
- Tap a table. The bill opens straight away, and the Antal gäster box appears on top
- Tap the number, 1–12. For a larger party, tap Fler än 12 and count up with plus and minus. Tap Klar
- The count shows in the bill header. Tap it to change it as long as the bill is not paid
Booking at the table: if the guests are seated on a confirmed booking, the count is filled in from the booking's party size and the till does not ask. This applies to the table's first open bill, so the guests are not counted twice.
Require mode: if the bill has no count when you take payment, the till asks first. This applies to Ta betalt, fast pay, the card terminal, paying the whole bill from a split bill and AI Waiter. Tapping Avbryt cancels the payment. If the till cannot read the setting, the payment always goes through.
Good to know:
- Merging two bills adds the counts together
- Splitting a bill counts the guests on the original bill, so they are only counted once
- Once the bill is paid the count is locked and cannot be changed
- The receipt does not show the count. If the ticket template has guest count turned on, it prints on the kitchen ticket
In the reports: Overview, Live, Sales, Comparison and Staffing show guests and average per guest when the period has bills with a count. Below the figures you see what share of table bills have a count. If the share is low, the average only covers some of the guests. The count also appears in the end-of-day email and in AI Boss.
