Menu Display – Find and Select Products

The menu is displayed as a grid with your products.

Display modes:

• Bild + text (image + text) – product image, name and price (default)
• Bara text (text only) – no image, large text
• Kompakt (compact) – a denser grid with more items visible

Sizes: Normal, Stor (large) or Extra stor (extra large).

Both are set in the POS settings under Utseende (appearance): Visningsläge för artiklar (display mode) and Knappstorlek i menyn (button size).

Navigate the menu:

1. Menu groups sit in a column beside the menu (on a phone, in a row at the top). Tap a group to show its products (e.g. Food, Drinks, Dessert)
2. Subgroups appear as a row above the products when the group has them. Tapping a main group opens its first subgroup straight away
3. Favoriter (favorites, star icon) comes first – quick access to starred products. The POS opens on Favorites

Favorites:

• Mark a product as a favorite in the product information in the POS (Lägg till i favoriter, add to favorites) or with Favoritartikel (favorite item) in the product editor in admin
• A new favorite is placed last on the Favorites tab
• Change the order directly in the POS, see below, or in admin under Meny → Menygrupper → Favoriter
• With the POS setting Återgå till Favoriter efter betalning/bongning (return to Favorites after payment/firing), the POS returns here after each payment or firing

Arrange the buttons in the POS: You decide the order of the buttons, both on Favorites and in every menu group. For example, keep all beers in Öl på flaska (bottled beer) and sort IPA, lager and dark beer the way you want them.

1. Open Favorites or the menu group. At the end of the list, bottom right, there is a small round button with two arrows (Ordna knapparna, arrange the buttons). Tap it
2. The buttons start to wiggle. Drag a button where you want it, or tap it and then tap the button whose place it should take
3. Every move is saved straight away. Ångra (undo) takes back the latest move and Klar (done) finishes

• While you arrange, tapping a button adds nothing to the order
• You can switch menu group without leaving the mode and arrange several groups in a row
• On a touch screen, rest your finger on the button briefly before you drag. A quick swipe scrolls as usual
• The order applies to every POS. A menu group's order also applies in admin, online ordering and Express
• A new product is placed last in its menu group
• Marking favorites in the POS requires the Markera artiklar som favoriter i kassan permission (mark items as favorites in the POS). Without it, staff get a manager PIN prompt
• The same permission applies to arranging. Without it, a manager PIN prompt appears when you tap Ordna knapparna. The manager's PIN then covers arranging for 15 minutes on the same POS, as long as the same person is logged in. After that the move is not saved: the POS takes it back and closes the mode
• If someone changed the menu group in the meantime, for example moved a product, the move is not saved. The POS tells you and shows the updated group so you can move it again

Product cards show:

• Name and price. The price follows the tab's order format: if the item has a Ta med (takeaway) price, it is shown when the tab is Ta med or Utkörning (delivery). Otherwise the regular price (Äta här, dine in) is shown
• Product image – or an emoji icon (otherwise a plate icon) if there is no image – in Bild + text mode
• Dots (•••) if the product has variants or modifiers
• Quantity in the cart (small badge) if the item is already added

Tip: Press and hold a product, or right-click with a mouse, to open its information. This includes its description, allergens and availability. Products with multiple prices show a starting price; select a variant to see its price.
