Table combinations and assignment order on the floor plan

Table combinations are tables that can be joined for larger parties. The assignment order decides which table a booking picks when several fit equally well. You set both on the floor plan, where you can see which table is which.

Open the tools:

1. Go to Bord (tables) in the admin menu (under the KASSA heading)
2. Open the Bordskarta (floor plan) tab
3. Pick a mode at the top: Rita (draw), Kombinationer (combinations) or Tilldelningsordning (assignment order)

The Kombinationer and Tilldelningsordning buttons on the Bord tab, and Hantera kombinationer in the largest-party card, take you straight here. In the combinations and assignment order modes the tables stay put: a tap selects a table, and nothing can be moved by mistake. You move tables in Rita.

Create a combination:

1. Pick the Kombinationer mode and the section
2. Tap the tables that can be joined. A dashed frame shows the selection
3. The name is suggested from the table numbers, for example "8+9+10", and Platser ihop (seats together) is filled in with the tables' seats added up. If chairs are lost when the tables are pushed together, enter fewer
4. Click Spara (save)

If the tables don't stand next to each other on the map you get a warning. If any of the tables isn't bookable online – or sits in a section that doesn't take online bookings – the combination is only offered when staff book, and the panel says so. The same set of tables can only be in one combination.

Tip: in Rita you can select several tables (Shift-click or drag a frame around them) and press Gör till kombination (make a combination).

Change, switch off or delete:

• Combinations show as frames on the map and in the list on the right. Hover over a row and its tables light up
• Tap a combination in the list, tap tables to add or remove them, and save. The seats change with the tables you add or remove, and a name made of table numbers follows the new numbers
• The switch turns a combination off without deleting it
• Ta bort (delete) asks first. Bookings that already have the tables are not affected
• Under the list, Förslag ur kartan (suggestions from the map) lists tables that stand next to each other but aren't a combination yet. Skapa (create) opens the suggestion – nothing is saved until you press Spara
• Tables that aren't on any map are picked under Bord som inte står på kartan

Party sizes bookable online: The row under the map shows each party size the booking page offers. Green can be booked. Red means no table and no combination fits the party, so the guest never gets a time. The row updates as soon as you save a combination.

Assignment order: A booking always takes the table with the fewest empty chairs – a party of two lands on a two-top if one is free. The order only decides which table is picked when several fit equally well.

• The number on a table is its place in the order, and darker tables fill earlier. "ej online" marks tables that don't take online bookings
• Klicka i ny ordning (click a new order): tap the section's tables in the order they should fill and click Spara. Tables you don't tap come after, and other sections are not affected. Tap the last table again to remove it
• Fyll först (fill first): moves a whole section ahead of the others
• Minsta sällskap (minimum party): a lower limit for all tables in the section, for example a private room that only takes parties of five or more. The limit isn't saved if a table in the section seats fewer than that. Combinations with those tables won't take smaller parties either
• Hela ordningen (the whole order) and Kombinationernas ordning (combination order) can also be dragged in a list

Where does a party go? Pick a size under Var hamnar ett sällskap om …. The map highlights the booking's first, second and third choice – combinations as a frame – and the list shows them. Pick Personalens bokning (staff booking) to see the choices when staff book; tables that aren't bookable online count then too. The preview is for an evening without bookings.
