Overview – How Vendion's Booking System Works

    3 min read#1

Vendion's booking system handles three complementary booking types in the same system – table bookings, events and bookable resources. Everything appears in the same calendar, shares the same SMS flow and is automatically linked to your CRM and POS.

    Three booking types:

    TypeUse caseExamples
Table bookingDaily restaurant service"Table for 4 at 7pm on Friday"
EventOne-time or recurring occasionsWine tasting, holiday dinner, live music
ResourceBookable spaces and equipmentPrivate room, bowling lane, karaoke, billiards

All three types share the same calendar and workflow – the only difference is what the guest books (a table, an event spot or a resource slot). Staff work the same way regardless of booking type.

    Core features (all types):

    • Guests book via your booking page, event page or resource page (link or QR code)
    • You manage bookings in a shared calendar (timeline, list or floor plan)
    • Automatic table assignment based on party size (table bookings)
    • SMS confirmation and reminder sent automatically for all three types
    • Guests can modify or cancel via a manage link
    • All guest data is automatically linked to your CRM

    Table booking only:

    • Waitlist when fully booked (events and resources have no waitlist)
    • Shifts and seating duration rules
    • Automatic table assignment and table combination

    Events only:

    • One-time or recurring events
    • Price per person and max guests per booking
    • Table requirement can be linked to the event

    Resources only:

    • Recurring weekly availability per weekday
    • Blocked dates for maintenance or private events
    • Price per slot and slot duration (30/60/90/120 min)
    • Guaranteed protection against double bookings

Booking statuses (shared across all types):

    StatusMeaning
    PendingAwaiting confirmation
    ConfirmedBooking approved
WaitlistTable only – guest is in queue
SeatedGuest has arrived and is seated
    CompletedVisit is finished
    No-showGuest never arrived
    CancelledBooking is cancelled

Booking sources: Each booking tracks its origin – manually in admin, online via the booking page, by phone, walk-in, Google, event page, resource page or via AI Boss.

Licensing: Events and resources are included in the Booking module or in Vendion 360. Table booking is the base feature of the Booking module. You'll find current pricing in the price list at vendion.com/pris or per your agreement.

This feature is part of Vendion Booking.
