Create and Manage Shifts

Shifts define when your restaurant accepts bookings – for example lunch and dinner.

Create a new shift:

1. Go to Bordsbokning → Inställningar → Skift & Tider
2. Click Lägg till skift
3. Fill in:
   • Namn – e.g. "Lunch" or "Dinner"
   • Starttid and Sluttid – when the shift begins and ends
   • Sista bokningstid (optional) – latest time a new booking can start
   • Sittlängd – how long a booking in the shift lasts, unless a rule under Sittlängd per gästantal says otherwise
   • Säsong (season) – optional. Från and Till if the shift should only be bookable during a period, for example a Christmas buffet. Empty = all year. Outside the season the shift is visible to neither guests nor staff
   • Max gäster per skift – total number of guests over the whole shift. Empty = unlimited
   • Pacing (optional) – see below
   • Aktiva dagar – which weekdays the shift applies (Mon–Sun)
4. Click Skapa skift

Pacing – spread out arrivals: Turn on Pacing in the shift to limit how many guests may start in each time window when guests book themselves. Pick the window – Per timme (per hour), Per halvtimme (per half hour) or Per kvart (per quarter) – and set a cap per window. Empty = no limit, 0 = closed online. Samma tak på alla fills in every window at once. Staff can always book past the cap.

Edit or remove shifts:

• Click the pencil icon – the shift opens in a side panel where you make changes and click Spara
• Click the bin icon to remove the shift
• Open the shift, turn off Aktiv and click Spara to disable it
• Turning off Bokningsbar online leaves an active shift available for staff bookings only
• For fixed start times, use Sittningar and Lägg till tid. Guests can then only book those times, and the pacing windows follow the seatings

Tip: Always set a last booking time so guests can't book right at the end of the shift.
