Mobile Waiter – Overview

Want to take orders right at the table? Then you run the regular Vendion POS on a tablet or phone. There is no separate "mobile waiter" app – the whole POS is built for touch and works just as well on a tablet as on a stationary register.
When is it a fit?
- À la carte restaurants where the server stays at the table
- Outdoor seating far from a fixed register
- Large rooms where "running to the register" eats time
- Events / pop-ups without fixed POS terminals
Getting started
- Open Vendion on the tablet or phone (the native app or app.vendion.com in the browser)
- Sign in and pick POS from the home screen
- Choose an available register (workstation) of type POS
- On a shared device, staff identify with a PIN
What you do at the table
The POS gives you the same tools on any device:

Real-time & sync
- Real-time sync means orders you take on the tablet appear instantly on KDS, in other registers and in the stationary POS – all in the same system
- Keep devices online so orders sync immediately
Hardware
A touchscreen tablet works well – e.g. an iPad or an Android tablet – ideally with a strap case so staff can carry it. For long shifts (lunch + dinner) a spare power bank is handy.
