Floor Plan Builder

The floor plan builder lets you create a visual map of your restaurant. Find it under Admin → Bord → Bordskarta (Tables → Floor plan). The tools below are available in Rita (draw) mode.

Place tables:

1. Choose a section above the map or create one with + Sektion (section).
2. Drag Runt (round) or Rektangel (rectangle) from Nytt bord (new table) onto the map. Tap a table under Oplacerade bord (unplaced tables) to place it near the centre of the selected section.
3. Drag the table to its position in the restaurant and check its number and seats in the right panel.

Table settings:

• Utseende (appearance): number, name, width, height, seats, chairs, shape, material and colour.
• Bokning (booking): section, online booking, assignment order, minimum/maximum party size and features.
• Duplicera bord (duplicate table) creates a new table with the same size and appearance and its own table number.

Resize and move:

• Select a table and drag its corners or edges. Dimensions appear beside the handle as you drag; circles show their diameter with Ø.
• Enter exact values in Bredd (width) and Höjd (height) under Utseende. These are map units, not centimetres.
• When you drag a table, guides appear against other tables. The table gently snaps to edges and centre lines. Hold Alt to drag freely without snapping.
• Moves and resizing are saved automatically when you release the pointer.

Arrange several tables:

1. Hold Shift and click the tables, or drag a selection box across an empty area of the map.
2. The right panel shows Ordna (arrange) for the selected tables.
3. Choose a tool:

• Rikta in (align): left edge, horizontal centre, right edge, top edge, vertical centre or bottom edge. Tables align to the selected group's visible outer edges and centre lines.
• Samma storlek (same size): match the last selected table; an extra ring marks this reference table. Each table keeps its shape and number of seats. For round tables, the reference must have equal width and height.
• Jämna mellanrum → Vågrätt/Lodrätt (even gaps → horizontal/vertical): select at least three tables. The outer tables stay fixed while those between them move to give equal edge-to-edge gaps, even with different table sizes.
• Mellanrum i kartmått → Sätt vågrätt/Sätt lodrätt (gap in map units → set horizontally/vertically): select at least two tables and enter a gap. The leftmost or topmost table stays fixed; the others are spaced at the chosen distance.

Gaps are measured between table edges, excluding chairs. If the tables do not fit, reduce the gap or move the selection. Ångra ordna (undo arrangement) restores the latest group action: alignment, matching sizes, distribution, moving a group or scaling a group.

Sections and fullscreen:

• Switch sections above the map to draw areas such as Dining room, Patio and Bar separately.
• Choose Fullskärm (fullscreen) for more working space and Minimera (minimise) to return.

How the floor plan appears in the POS:

• The floor plan is always available and does not need to be enabled.
• In the POS Bord (tables) view, staff choose between Karta (map) and Rutnät (grid).
• The choice is saved on each device. Tablets and computers start on Karta, phones on Rutnät.
• Karta shows tables placed in the selected section; Rutnät also shows unplaced tables. If the section has no placed tables, the grid appears automatically.
• Colours show tab status and reservations also appear in the table overview.
• Click on a table to open its order.
