Manage Stock Status (86)

"86" is the restaurant industry term for an item being out of stock. In Vendion you can quickly mark items as unavailable.
How to mark an item as out of stock:
- Go to Admin → Meny → Produkter → Alla artiklar (Menu → Products → All items)
- Find the item in the list
- Click the I lager (In stock) toggle to turn it off
- The item is immediately marked as "Out"
Alternatively from the POS:
- Right-click (or long-press) on the product card
- Select Markera som slut (Mark as out of stock), optionally enter a reason and confirm
What happens when an item is 86'd:
| Location | Effect |
|---|---|
| POS | Item is dimmed, cannot be added |
| Guest ordering (QR) | The item cannot be ordered while out of stock |
| Express (kiosk) | The item cannot be ordered while out of stock |
Reactivate an item:
- Enable I lager in Admin or select Markera som tillgänglig (Mark as available) in the POS item information
- The item becomes immediately available again
Tips:
- Use out-of-stock marking for temporary stops, then reactivate the item when available. It does not automatically reset the next day
- Perfect for daily specials that run out
- Staff with permission can change availability in the POS. PIN approval may be requested
