Allergens on Menu Items

Vendion supports the 14 EU allergens. You select allergens per item under Settings → Menu → Products.
The 14 allergens:
- Gluten
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soy
- Milk
- Tree nuts
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame
- Sulphur dioxide/sulphites
- Lupin
- Molluscs
How to add allergens:
- Open the item under Products
- Scroll to the Allergens section
- Check the allergens the item contains
- Click Save
Where allergens are displayed:
| Location | How |
|---|---|
| POS | Info button (i) on the product card |
| Guest ordering (QR) | Automatically under the item name |
| Booking details | If the guest has specified allergies, they're matched against the menu |
| AI Waiter | The AI warns about allergen matches |
Tips:
- Be thorough – allergen information can be life-critical
- Update immediately if a recipe changes
- AI Boss can help you verify that all items have the correct allergens marked
