Overview – Menu Management

Menu management in Vendion is organized in three levels: categories → items → modifier groups. Access it via Settings → Menu in admin.
Three tabs:
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Products | All menu items – create, edit, delete |
| Menu (categories) | Main categories and subcategories – organize your menu |
| Modifier groups | Modifiers like "Choose sauce", "Extras" – linked to items |
The hierarchy:
- Categories – e.g. Food, Drinks, Dessert
- Subcategories – e.g. Starters, Mains, Salads (under Food)
- Items – e.g. Caesar Salad, Pasta Carbonara
- Modifier groups – e.g. "Choose sauce" with options Béarnaise, Pepper sauce
How the menu appears in the POS:
- Categories are shown as tabs at the top
- Items are shown as cards in the grid
- Modifiers and variants appear as a dialog when clicking an item
Tip: Start by creating your categories, then items, and finally modifier groups. This makes it easier to link everything together.
