Create a Package – for Example a Lunch Deal or Three Courses

A package is several products sold together at a fixed price, for example a lunch with a drink or a three-course menu where the guest chooses starter, main and dessert. The package becomes a button in the POS. Admin is shown in Swedish; the English in brackets explains the labels.
Create a package
- Go to Meny → Produkter (Menu → Products) and click Nytt paket (new package).
- Fill in Paketnamn (package name), Menygrupp (menu group) and Varugrupp (product group).
- Fill in the package price under Paketpris inkl. moms (package price incl. VAT), in the Äta här (eat in) field. If you want a different price for takeaway, also fill in Ta med (takeaway).
- Click + Lägg till grupp (add group) for each part, for example "Starter" or "Drink".
- Add the options in each group. Mark which one is the Förval (default), set Antal (quantity) and optionally a Tillägg (surcharge) in kronor for pricier choices. Obligatorisk (required) means the guest must choose; in the POS the choice can be postponed.
- Click Spara paket (save package).

The VAT: at the bottom of the editor you see how the package price is split over the parts and what the VAT will be if the guest takes the defaults. Each part gets the VAT from its own product group.
Fixed or choice package
- Fixed package: every group is mandatory and has a single option without a surcharge. The package is rung up directly and can be sold online.
- Choice package: if a group has several options, a surcharge or is not mandatory, the POS asks what the guest wants when the package is rung up. Choice packages are not shown in the online menu.
Tip: sell the package once in the POS before service and look at the receipt, so you can see that the price and the lines came out as you intended.
