Create and Manage Categories

Categories organize your menu in the POS. Find them under Settings → Menu → Menu (categories).

Create a category:

1. Click + Add category
2. Enter a name (e.g. "Food", "Drinks", "Dessert")
3. Choose a color for the category (shown in the POS)
4. Save

Create a subcategory:

1. Click ⋯ (three dots) next to a main category
2. Select Add subcategory
3. Enter a name (e.g. "Starters", "Mains")
4. Save

Edit a category:

• Double-click on the category name to rename it directly
• Click ⋯ → Edit to change color or other settings

Sort categories:

• Drag and drop categories in your desired order
• The order applies both in admin and in the POS

Delete a category:

• Click ⋯ → Delete
• Items in the category lose their category assignment but are not deleted

Tips:

• Use clear, short names – they appear as tabs in the POS
• Color-coding helps staff quickly find the right category
• Keep the number of main categories under 8–10 for the best overview
