Create and Manage Menu Groups

Categories organize your menu in the POS. Find them under Meny → Menygrupper (menu → menu groups).

Create a category:

1. Click + Huvudmeny (main menu)
2. Enter a name (e.g. "Food", "Drinks", "Dessert")
3. Confirm the name.
4. Select the colour dot to choose a colour.

Create a subcategory:

1. Expand the main menu in the list.
2. Select + Undermeny (submenu) beneath it.
3. Enter a name (e.g. "Starters", "Mains")
4. Save

Edit a category:

• Double-click on the category name to rename it directly
• Select the pencil to change color or other settings

Sort categories:

• Drag and drop categories in your desired order
• The order applies both in admin and in the POS

Delete a category:

• Select the bin and confirm
• Items in the category lose their category assignment but are not deleted

Tips:

• Use clear, short names – they appear as tabs in the POS
• Color-coding helps staff quickly find the right category
• Keep the number of main categories under 8–10 for the best overview
