Variants on Menu Items

Variants let you offer the same item in different sizes with different prices – without creating separate items.

Examples:

• Coca-Cola: Small (29 SEK), Medium (39 SEK), Large (49 SEK)
• Pizza Margherita: Regular (129 SEK), Family (199 SEK)

Create variants:

1. Open the item under Menu → Products
2. Scroll down to the Variants section
3. Click + Add variant
4. Enter name (e.g. "Small") and price (e.g. 29)
5. Repeat for each variant
6. Click Save

How variants work in the POS:

1. Staff clicks on the item
2. A dialog shows all variants with name and price
3. Staff selects the right variant
4. The item is added to the cart with variant name and price

How variants are displayed:

• In the POS: the product card shows three dots (•••) indicating variants
• In the cart: "Coca-Cola – Large" with the correct price
• On the ticket: variant is shown under the item name
• In guest ordering: the guest selects a variant before ordering

Edit variants:

• Change name or price directly in the variant list
• Delete a variant by clicking the trash icon

Tips:

• A product with variants requires a variant selection. Its tile shows the starting price; the selected variant determines the final price.
• Sort variants in the order you want them displayed
• Variants and open price can't be combined – if the item has variants the price is already set per variant, so open price is disabled
