    Users and Access

    Under Settings → Restaurant → Users you manage who has access to the system.

    Invite a new user:

    1. Click + Invite user
    2. Enter email address
    3. Select role (Boss or Staff)
    4. Click Send invitation
    5. The person receives an email with a login link

    Roles:

    RoleAccess
    BossFull access: admin, POS, reports, settings, AI Boss
    StaffLimited: POS, KDS, waiter view. No admin access

    Manage existing users:

    • Change role – Click on the user → select new role
    • Pause account – Temporarily deactivate without deleting
    • Activate – Reactivate a paused account
    • Remove – Permanently remove access

    • A person can be both a user and an employee
    • A waiter needs to be a user (to log in) AND an employee (for scheduling/payroll)
    • An hourly worker who only needs to clock in only needs to be an employee (via Staff module)

    Tips:

    • Only give the Boss role to restaurant managers and owners
    • Use the Staff role for all waiters and kitchen staff
    • Pause accounts instead of deleting – it preserves history
    • Regularly review who has access
