Switch the active staff member on a shared till

In most restaurants several people share the same till during a shift. Vendion solves this with a staff switcher so every order, payment and action is tied to the right person – without logging the terminal out entirely.

What it looks like in the POS:

At the top of the POS there is a small staff chip showing who is active right now. It shows:

• The active person's first name
• On larger screens, the initial of their last name as well
• A menu with Växla användare (Switch user) when you tap the staff button

Switch the active person (mid-shift):

1. Tap the staff chip at the top of the POS (the one with the name)
2. Select Växla användare (Switch user). The active person is logged out and the PIN screen appears
3. The next person enters their own PIN and presses OK
4. That person is now active – subsequent till events are attributed to the active person

It takes a couple of seconds and needs no manager. The terminal stays in POS mode the whole time – you are not leaving the till itself, just switching who is logged in.

Why it matters:

Good to know: Fully leaving POS mode (releasing the terminal) is something else and normally requests a manager PIN. The staff switcher is for the everyday – quick swaps between colleagues sharing one till.

Tip: Teach the whole team to always switch to themselves before ringing up an order. It takes two seconds and gives you better traceability afterwards.
