Custom booking statuses – see where each party is in their visit

Custom statuses show where a party is in their visit, for example "Starter served" or "Bill delivered". The status appears on the booking and on the table, so the whole team can see the situation without asking.

Create the statuses:

1. Go to Bokning in the admin menu (under the APPAR heading)
2. Open the Inställningar tab and the Statusar, taggar & frågor sub-tab
3. Under Egna statusar (custom statuses), click Ny status (new status)
4. Enter a Namn (name, max 40 characters) and pick a colour. The preview shows how the status will look
5. Click Skapa status (create status)

Order the statuses with the up and down arrows. You don't delete a status – you switch it off, and it moves to Avstängda (switched off), where you can turn it back on. To change the statuses you need Hantera restauranginställningar.

Set a status on a booking:

• In admin: open the booking. At the top of the panel is Egen status – pick a status, or Ingen (none) to remove it
• In the POS: open the booking in the POS booking view and pick under Egen status. If you lack the permission, a manager can approve with their PIN

A booking has one custom status at a time. If you need several markers at once, use the tags in the same sub-tab. The picker appears once you have at least one active status.

Where the status shows:

• As a coloured label in the booking list
• As a coloured dot in the timeline
• On the table in the POS floor plan and in the admin table view
• In the booking log, for example "Egen status: Förrätt serverad"

Good to know: The status is cleared automatically when the booking's regular status changes – for example when the party is seated or the visit is completed. So set it after the guests have sat down. The log then shows "Egen status nollställd … (grundstatusen ändrades)". On a cancelled or completed booking, or one marked as no-show, the status can't be changed.
