Understanding the Booking Calendar

The booking calendar has four views you can switch between depending on how you prefer to work. Switch views with the four icons in the top right.

Tidslinje (Timeline)

• Horizontal view with all tables on the y-axis and time on the x-axis
• Each booking appears as a block with guest name, count; click the block for start and end times
• Color-coded by status: amber = confirmed, purple = pending, green = seated, dimmed = completed, red = no-show, dimmed and struck through = cancelled, dashed orange = waitlisted
• Click an empty slot to quickly create a booking on that exact table and time

Lista (List)

• Table view with all bookings sorted chronologically
• Columns: Tid, Gäst, Antal, Bord, Status, Typ and Källa. Some columns are hidden on smaller screens
• Filter by status and source. Change status through the list selector with Redigera bokning permission
• Ankommande (Arriving) at the top: how many guests arrive per time slot, plus the shift total on the far right
• Bordsfördelning (table mix) at the bottom: how many tables fit each party size and how many of them are free. Answers "can we seat a party of six?"

Bord (Tables)

• The restaurant's actual floor plan – the same map staff see in the POS, with tables where they really stand
• If you have several sections (e.g. dining room and terrace), switch between them with the tabs at the top
• Click a table to open the booking in the detail panel

Lista + bord (List + tables)

• The list on the left and the floor plan on the right at the same time
• Select a row in the list and the table is ringed on the map. Click a table and the list jumps to and highlights the matching row
• Useful when a guest calls: you see who it is and where they will sit in one glance

Floor map colors

Color per arrival time means tables with arrivals in the same time slot get the same color – you see the seating as a pattern instead of reading clock times table by table. The colors cycle through five steps and require that you have set up shifts. Without shifts the map falls back to status colors. Green and red are never used as slot colors; they always mean "seated" and "problem" respectively.

When the next party arrives

A table can have several sittings in one evening. The map shows the most relevant booking with name and time – and below it, when there are more:

The day strip is the thin bar at the bottom of each table. It covers the whole day from 10:00 to midnight: amber for booked, green for guests currently seated. The gaps between the blocks are free slots – a table with a single block on the far right is open all evening until then.

The strip is built for planning. You see where there is room without opening a single booking, and without picking a time first.

View options

Next to the view buttons sits the Vyinställningar (View options) button with two operational signals:

Both are saved per device. Changing them on the office computer does not affect the POS, and vice versa. A dot appears on the button when either is on. Both signals only apply to today's date – browsing back through history marks nothing as late.

Navigation:

• Change date with arrows or date picker
• Filter by shift (e.g. lunch only), status, and source
• Search by guest name, phone number or linked company name/registration number
• Also filter by booking type and then event or resource
• Occupancy counters use the day’s bookings even when the list is filtered, so filters do not make capacity appear emptier than it is
