Handle Walk-ins

A walk-in is a guest who arrives without a booking. You can quickly register them in the system.

Create a walk-in:

1. Open Bord → Bokningar in the POS
2. Click Walk-in in the toolbar
3. Choose Antal gäster (party size) with the arrows (1–20)
4. Fill in Gästinfo (valfritt):
   • Namn (optional – left blank it becomes "Walk-in")
   • Telefonnummer (optional – enables CRM linking)
   • Anteckningar (optional)
5. Under Välj bord, check seat capacity and click an available table to seat the party

What happens:

• A booking is created with status Sittande (seated) immediately and placed at the chosen table
• The POS quick flow starts at the current time with a 120-minute duration and opens the table tab
• Source is set to "Walk-in"
• If a phone number is provided, the guest is automatically linked to the CRM

Walk-in from admin: You can do the same in admin – go to Bokning (Booking), click + Ny bokning (New booking) and choose Walk-in. You then get the regular booking wizard instead of the POS grid, with source Walk-in and status Seated pre-selected and confirmation SMS turned off. The POS flow is fastest when you are standing in the room; the admin route is better when you want to fill in allergens, tags, or special requests right away.
