Create a Campaign

Send an SMS or email to a group of guests. The campaign is built in a wizard with up to six steps.

Step 1 – Channel:

1. Go to Marknadsföring → Kampanjer
2. Click Ny Kampanj (or Skapa kampanj if you don't have any campaigns yet)
3. Give the campaign an internal name (shown only to you, not to guests)
4. Choose channel: SMS, Email, or SMS + Email

Step 2 – AI draft (optional): Briefly describe what the campaign is about, and the AI writes a draft you fine-tune in the next step. Prefer to write it yourself? Skip ahead with Nästa.

Step 3 – SMS (shown if you chose SMS or Both):

1. Write the message with a live preview
2. Insert variables with the buttons:
   • {namn} – Guest's name
   • {restaurang} – Restaurant's name
   • {bokningslänk} – Link to the booking page
3. Check the character counter, SMS parts and estimated cost. Emoji and certain special characters reduce the number of characters that fit. The unsubscribe link is included in the estimate.
4. An unsubscribe link is automatically added to every campaign SMS

Step 4 – Mail (shown if you chose Email or Both):

• Subject line + email builder where you stack blocks (heading, text, image, button, etc.) and adjust the colour
• Automatic unsubscribe link in the footer

Step 5 – Recipients: Choose the target group:

• Alla gäster (All guests) – The whole guest register as a starting point
• Segment – Choose a saved segment
• Taggar (Tags) – Choose one or more tags; guests with at least one selected tag are included

The system shows reachable recipients per channel based on contact details and recorded consent choices. Check that these reflect the guest’s actual consent. Unsubscribed guests and guests who declined the channel are skipped.

Step 6 – Send:

• Skicka nu (Send now) – Campaign sends immediately
• Schemalägg (Schedule) – Choose date and time
• Utkast sparat (Draft saved) – the draft saves automatically once you have entered a campaign name. Wait for this confirmation before leaving the page.

Review the channel, text, recipient counts and SMS cost. Skicka Kampanj completes your choice to send now or schedule. Large campaigns display an additional confirmation. A started campaign does not mean every message has reached its recipient.
