Public Gift Card Shop – Sell Gift Cards Online

The public gift card shop lets guests buy gift cards online without signing in. The guest selects an amount, recipient and delivery, pays on the page and receives purchase confirmation.

Open the shop

1. Go to Admin → Marknadsföring → Presentkort → Inställningar.
2. Find Publik presentkortsbutik (Public gift card shop) further down.
3. Configure amounts, validity, page text and delivery channels.
4. Enable the shop switch and select Spara (Save) at the bottom of the shop panel. Its Save button is separate from the regular gift card settings.
5. Open Länk till butiken (Shop link) and check the page before sharing it.

Sales require the restaurant's online payments to be ready. If the payment step cannot start, check the payment connection with the responsible person or Vendion support.

Share the link

Copy the complete link from the panel. Add it to your website, social media or newsletter. When the shop is off, the link displays a shop-closed message. Closing the shop does not affect cards already sold.

Amounts and content

Presets outside the allowed range are not shown as purchasable buttons. Guests can also enter their own amount in whole SEK within the limits. The page uses restaurant branding. A chain shop uses chain branding and shows where the card is accepted.

Delivery and the guest's four steps

Enable E-post (Email), SMS, or both. At least one channel must be on. Enable Schemalagd leverans (Scheduled delivery) to let guests choose a future date.

1. Amount: Choose a preset or custom amount and read the validity.
2. Till vem? (Recipient): Enter contact details, an optional greeting and sender. At least one available contact channel is required. Skicka ett visst datum (Send on a specific date) allows a future delivery date.
3. Payment: Complete the payment offered on the page.
4. Confirmation: Check the amount and delivery destination. The code is not displayed here; it is delivered to the recipient.

One purchase issues one card. For another recipient, the guest makes another purchase. The card is issued after confirmed payment. Scheduled delivery is planned for the morning of the chosen day; do not promise arrival at an exact minute.

Chain shop: save the issuer first

Open chain Inställningar → Presentkort online. Select an active Restaurang som utfärdar kedjans kort (Restaurant issuing the chain's cards) and save using the page's top button. Then configure the shop and save using the shop panel's own Spara button.

The issuer receives the purchase and carries the gift card liability. Redemption at another restaurant is tracked through the chain's intercompany settlement. An unsaved, missing or paused issuer can prevent the shop from working.

Accounting and follow-up

The paid card is recorded as gift card liability in sales records. Goods sales and VAT arise when the multi-purpose card is used. The rule is described in the Swedish VAT Act, Chapter 5, Section 43. Reconcile the accounting records and the card in the gift card list.

If the recipient is missing the message, check the selected delivery date and contact details. The list has no resend button. Contact Vendion support with purchase time, amount and recipient if a confirmed payment or delivery needs investigation. Do not make another purchase solely because confirmation or delivery is delayed.

SMS and payment charges follow your restaurant's agreement and price list.
