Register Audit – See What Staff Did

The register audit is your internal control over everything that happens at the register beyond regular sales. It shows recorded events such as discounts, voided rows, refunds and cash-drawer openings, with time and available person and amount details. You find it under Admin → Kontrollcenter, on the Kassahändelser tab (the same page also holds Insikter, Inställningsändringar, Personuppgifter and Skatteverket).

Why it matters

The register audit helps you follow recorded activity and understand why a tab changed. You can read and export events but cannot edit them in this view. A colour or unusual figure alone does not prove improper conduct.

What you see

The list shows one row per event with four columns:

Click a row to expand the full details of the event (e.g. which order or item it concerned and who approved it).

Actions that are logged

• Discounts – both preset and open (free amount)
• Voided lines and cancelled paid orders
• Returns (refunds)
• Comps – complimentary items
• Price overrides – when a price is changed manually
• Cash drawer openings with no link to a sale
• Cash operations – float, deposits, withdrawals

Permission

The register audit requires the right permission to view. If the button is greyed out or hidden, the logged-in staff lacks the permission – an administrator controls this under Användare → Behörighetsgrupper.

In Inställningsändringar, Vem and Gäller distinguish the person who made a change from the person affected. Personuppgifter shows access to sensitive staff information. Choose the appropriate tab for a POS event, a change or access to personal data.
