Configure Express Kiosks

Express kiosks are self-service stations where guests order themselves – similar to McDonald's or Burger King.
Create an express workstation:
- Go to Settings → Devices & Hardware → Express kiosks
- Click + New express kiosk
- Fill in:
- Name (e.g. "Express Entrance", "Express Patio")
- Click Save
Configurable per express kiosk:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Theme | Dark or light appearance |
| Timeout | Automatic reset after inactivity (e.g. 60 sec) |
| Allergen display | Show allergens directly on items |
| Language | Swedish, English or both |
| Order type | "Dine in" and/or "Takeaway" |
| Upselling | Suggest add-on items at checkout |
Express flow for the guest:
- Attract screen – "Tap to order"
- Choose order type – Dine in / Takeaway
- Browse menu – Categories and items
- Customize – Variants and modifiers
- Cart – Review and adjust
- Pay – Card via terminal
- Confirmation – Order number displayed
Tips:
- Set timeout to 60–90 seconds to prevent the kiosk from "hanging"
- Enable allergen display if you have many guests with allergies
- Test the entire flow before going live
- Upselling increases average ticket – enable it!
