Create a Custom Automation

Build a custom automation.

Step by step:

1. Go to Marketing → Automations
2. Click Create automation
3. Choose trigger:
   • Event: Choose event type (first visit, visit completed, no-show, tag added, event booking, resource booking)
   • Schedule: Choose weekday and time + optional condition (e.g. "Last visit >60 days")
   • Date field: Choose field (birthday) + number of days before
4. Delay (for event triggers): Set how long after the event the message should be sent
5. Filter (optional): Limit to a segment or specific tags
6. Channel: SMS, email, or both
7. Message: Write text with variables ({name}, {restaurant}, {booking_link})
8. AI suggestions: Click to get text suggestions in three tones
9. Save and activate

Protection mechanisms:

• Cooldown: Max 1 automation of the same type per guest per 30 days
• Weekly limit: Max 2 automation messages per guest per week
• Opt-out respect: Guests who unsubscribed receive no messages
• Contact requirement: Guests without phone/email are skipped
