GDPR and Consent

Vendion has separate preferences for SMS and email marketing. Check that they reflect the guest’s actual choices. A guest profile or a supplied phone number does not automatically mean consent to advertising.

Check consent

1. Open Marknadsföring → Gäster → Register (Marknadsföring → Guests → Register) and find the guest.
2. Open the profile and choose Redigera (Edit).
3. Check SMS opt-in and Email opt-in against what the guest agreed to. Save the change.
4. When adding a guest manually, check these boxes carefully: they can be preselected. Clear them unless the guest agreed.

Regular online booking offers separate SMS and email marketing choices. A booking confirmation or receipt is a service message; do not treat it as consent to advertising.

How guests unsubscribe

• Campaign SMS includes an Avregistrera link. Ask guests to use this link, not reply STOP.
• Campaign and automation emails have an unsubscribe link in the footer.
• The unsubscribe page offers Avregistrera SMS, Avregistrera Email and Avregistrera allt (Unsubscribe from all).
• A channel choice stops that channel. Avregistrera allt stops both channels for campaigns and automations.
• Automation SMS has no automatic unsubscribe link. Include a clear contact method in the text and record requests in the guest profile.

If a guest contacts you directly to stop advertising, update their choices before sending more. Guests have a right to object to direct marketing, after which that processing must stop. Read more at IMY.

Automatic sending checks Campaigns and automations check recorded unsubscribe status and channel choices. Automations also allow up to two send occasions per guest in a rolling seven-day period, with a 30-day interval per automation and guest. SMS and email in one automation count as one occasion. These checks do not replace the restaurant’s responsibility to keep guest preferences accurate.
