Stamp cards are the classic mechanic where a guest collects stamps for each purchase and gets a reward after a set number — "Buy 10 lunches, the 11th is on us" or "5 coffees, the 6th free". It is one of the oldest and most proven loyalty models, and in Vendion it is the digital alternative to paper cards that get lost easily.
When do stamp cards fit?
Stamp cards are a good choice when:
- You have a clear recurring core product (lunch, coffee, pizza, burger, cocktail)
- You want to reward frequency over volume (100 kr or 300 kr — same number of stamps)
- Guests are regulars or lunch commuters
- You want a simple mechanic that everyone instantly understands
How to create a stamp card:
- Go to Admin → Marketing → Loyalty → Stamp Cards.
- Click "New stamp card".
- Fill in basic information:
- Name: Program name displayed to staff and guest, e.g. "Lunch Pass 10" or "Pizza Club".
- Description: Free text explaining the setup: "Buy 10 lunches — the 11th is on us!".
- Number of stamps: How many stamps are required for reward (e.g. 10).
- Choose rule type (see separate articles for each):
- Per paid order — one stamp per paid order regardless of content.
- Per category — stamp only if the order contains a specific category (e.g. "Lunch").
- Per menu item — stamp per instance of a specific item (e.g. "Espresso").
- Per SEK threshold — stamp per order ≥ N kr (e.g. 150 kr).
- Configure reward:
- Free item — select a menu item that becomes free when the reward is redeemed.
- Discount % — e.g. 100 % (entirely free on next order) or 50 % discount.
- Reward text — description shown to guest and staff: "Free lunch" or "30 % off next order".
- Set validity period (optional):
- Valid from / to — dates, e.g. campaign during the winter season.
- Toggle "Active" on and click Save.
Fields for a stamp card:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|
| Name | Program name |
| Description | Description for guest and staff |
| Number of stamps | How many are required for reward |
| Free item | Optional – a menu item that becomes free |
| Discount % | Optional – 100 = entirely free |
| Reward text | Text about the reward |
| Rule type | Per paid order / Per category / Per menu item / Per SEK threshold |
| Validity period | Optional from/to dates |
| Active | On/off |
Multiple stamp cards in parallel:
You can have several active stamp cards in parallel — e.g. "Lunch Pass 10" + "Coffee 5" + "Pizza Club". Each guest can be on several at once, and the POS shows all rewards ready to redeem.
Tips:
- Start with a simple stamp card before testing rules
- Name clearly — the guest should understand immediately ("Pizza Club" is clearer than "Program A")
- Discount % = 100 means entirely free — link to a specific menu item instead if you want to restrict
