The "per paid order" rule is the default for stamp cards in Vendion — one stamp per paid order, regardless of what the guest bought or how much. It is the simplest and most straightforward rule, and fits when you want to reward frequency without complicating with categories or amount thresholds.
When does it fit?
- Simplicity matters most — "buy 10 times, get 1 free"
- You have a clear core product and a restaurant visit = buying it (lunch restaurant, café)
- You want small purchases to also count (the guest who only buys a cup of tea should also get a stamp)
- You want to minimize confusion among staff and guests
How to configure the rule:
- When creating the stamp card, select Rule Type = "Per paid order".
- No additional configuration needed.
- Save.
Behavior example:
Scenario: Stamp card "Coffee 5" (5 stamps = 1 free), rule = per paid order.
| Order | Contents | Amount | Stamps earned |
|---|
| #100 | 1 espresso | 29 kr | 1 |
| #101 | 2 cappuccinos + 1 cookie | 82 kr | 1 |
| #102 | 1 iced coffee | 39 kr | 1 |
| #103 | 1 bottle of water | 18 kr | 1 |
| #104 | 1 latte + 1 smoothie + 2 sandwiches | 167 kr | 1 |
After 5 orders → reward ready.
Advantages:
- Fair and understandable — the guest knows exactly what is required.
- Minimizes errors — no risk of staff forgetting to stamp because the order does not meet the criteria.
- Easy to market — "10 visits = free" is easy to put on a poster.
Limitations:
- No volume tie — the guest who buys for 50 kr gets the same stamp as the one who buys for 500 kr. If you want to reward volume, use "per SEK threshold" instead.
- No product focus — if you want to drive sales of a specific product, use "per category" or "per menu item".
Tips for lunch restaurants:
"Per paid order" is ideal for lunch spots where the guest buys one lunch per visit. Configure, for example, "Lunch Pass 10" — 10 paid orders = 1 free lunch. Easy to sell, easy to understand, easy to administer.
Staff flow:
When the guest checks out in the POS:
- Staff identifies the guest via phone number / name.
- The loyalty sidebar in the checkout view shows active stamp cards.
- Staff clicks "Give stamp" → the stamp is registered.
- When the stamp count reaches the target → reward becomes available and is shown on the next visit.
