The "per category" rule restricts stamps to orders containing at least one item from a specific menu category. Perfect when you want to steer the guest's choice toward a product group — e.g. "only stamp if the order contains a pizza" or "only lunches count".
When does it fit?
Prerequisite:
Your menu items must be correctly categorized. If the category is missing — add it via Menu → Categories first.
How to configure the rule:
Behavior example:
Scenario: Stamp card "Pizza Club" (10 stamps = 1 free), rule = per category "Pizza".
| Order | Contents | Stamps earned |
|---|---|---|
| #100 | 1 Pizza Margherita | 1 (contains Pizza category) |
| #101 | 2 Pizza Capricciosa + 1 Cola | 1 (contains Pizza category — despite 2 pizzas only one stamp per order) |
| #102 | 1 Salad + 1 Dessert | 0 (no Pizza item) |
| #103 | 1 Garlic Bread + 1 Beer | 0 (no Pizza item, garlic bread = Bread category) |
Important: The rule gives one stamp per order that contains the category, not per item.
Want a stamp per item?
Use "per menu item" instead. There each instance counts (e.g. 2 pizzas = 2 stamps).
Combined categories:
April 2026 only supports one category per stamp card. If you want multiple categories (e.g. "Lunch OR Dinner") — create two separate stamp cards or group them under a common menu category like "Main Course".
