Choose Your Restaurant's Web Address

When you set up your restaurant, you choose a short web address – often called a slug. It becomes part of the links your guests see when they order online or book a table.

Where it shows up

The slug is built into your public guest links, for example:

• Online order: app.vendion.com/order/your-slug
• Table booking: app.vendion.com/book/your-slug

If you choose mikaels-bistro, for example, the booking link becomes app.vendion.com/book/mikaels-bistro.

How to choose

In the setup wizard (the Gästerna step, headed Så hittar gästerna er – how guests find you) we automatically suggest an address based on your restaurant name. You can keep the suggestion or type your own in the Er adress (your address) field:

1. Type your preferred address in the field. Below it you can see what the link to table booking (and online ordering, if included) will look like.
2. Vendion instantly checks whether it's available.
   • Check mark = available, it's yours.
   • Red cross = taken or invalid – choose another.
3. Press Fortsätt (continue) to save.

Rules for the address

• 3–40 characters.
• Only a–z, 0–9 and hyphens (-).
• No spaces, accented letters or special characters.
• The address cannot start or end with a hyphen or contain double hyphens. Some words are reserved.

Think short and recognisable – ideally the restaurant's name. The address should be easy to say and type.

Change it later

You can change the address anytime under Admin → Allmänt → Företagsuppgifter (General → Company details). Edit URL-slug, press Spara (Save) and confirm Ja, byt gästlänk (Yes, change guest link). Old links stop working immediately. Update your website links and print new QR codes.

Tip: Use the name people already recognise you by, so guests find their way straight away.
