    Get Started – Set Up Your Restaurant

    Welcome to Vendion! Once Vendion has set up your restaurant, you receive a welcome email. It lists the steps ahead and, if card payments are included, what's good to have at hand. Press Kom igång (get started) in the email to open the setup wizard. It takes about 5 minutes, and everything saves as you go – you can pause whenever you like.

    How the wizard works

    The first page shows the steps ahead. Press Kom igång to begin. At the top of each step you can see where you are in the wizard: Konto (account), Restaurang (restaurant), Gäster (guests) and, if card payments are included, Betalning (payment). Move forward with Fortsätt (continue) and back with Tillbaka (back).

    Ditt konto (your account)Check Förnamn (first name), Efternamn (last name) and Mobilnummer (mobile number) – they're usually filled in already. Then choose a password (at least 10 characters). You log in with the email address shown in the step
    Restaurangen (the restaurant)Fill in or check the restaurant's name, company registration number and address, which appear on your receipts and invoices. If Vendion has already filled them in, you see the heading Stämmer det här? (is this correct?) – press Ja, det stämmer (yes, that's correct), or Ändra (edit) if something needs correcting. Under Kontakt för gäster (contact for guests) you can add Restaurangens e-post (the restaurant's email) and Restaurangens telefon (the restaurant's phone), both optional
    Gästerna (the guests)Check Er adress (your address), which becomes part of the link to your booking page (and online ordering, if included), and Namn i SMS (name in SMS), the sender of SMS messages to guests (3–11 characters, no å, ä, ö, spaces or special characters). Both are suggestions based on the restaurant's name
    Kortbetalning (card payments)Shown when card payments are included. Have the names and personal identity numbers of the owners and authorised signatories, and the bank account for payouts, at hand. Press Aktivera kortbetalning (activate card payments) to go to our payment partner Adyen's secure page and back here when you're done. To wait, press Gör det senare (do it later)
    Klart (done)Under Börja här (start here) you see the first things to do: Lägg upp menyn (set up the menu), Lägg in er logga (add your logo) and Skapa din chef-PIN (create your manager PIN). Press Öppna Vendion (open Vendion) to go to admin

    If you already have a password, no password field is shown. When you add a second restaurant later, the wizard is shorter: your account already exists, so the Ditt konto step is skipped.

    If you complete the wizard in the Vendion app on an iPhone that supports Tap to Pay, the Tap to Pay på iPhone step comes before Klart. There you can enable the phone for contactless card payments with Aktivera Tap to Pay på iPhone, or press Gör det senare.

    Good to know

    • The details you enter (such as restaurant name and address) appear on receipts and invoices. You can change everything later in settings.
    • Everything saves as you go. If you pause, you continue where you left off the next time you log in or open the link in the email.
    • If you haven't finished, you receive a reminder by email about two days after the invitation.
    • If the link in the email has expired, the page shows Länken har gått ut (the link has expired). Press Skicka ny länk (send new link) and we send a new link to the email address we have for the restaurant.
    • If someone else is already logged in in the browser, the page asks first. Choose Logga ut och öppna länken (log out and open the link), or Fortsätt med mitt konto (continue with my account) to stay in the logged-in account.
    • In the card payment application, the company registration number and address are already filled in, and the business type Adyen needs is chosen by Vendion when the restaurant is set up – you normally won't get that question. Once the application is submitted, Adyen reviews it, usually within minutes but sometimes up to a couple of days. You don't need to wait – card payments switch on automatically once you're approved.
    • If you skipped card payments, the last page reminds you and lets you activate them from there.
    • When the wizard is done, you land in admin, where a checklist in the top toolbar helps you set up your menu, devices and modules.

    You don't have to do everything at once. The wizard gives you a solid start – you build the rest in your own time.
