Pay at Table

With Pay at Table, the waiter starts card payment at the guest's table on a physical mobile terminal. This is a separate flow from Tap to Pay on a phone.

Configure the terminal:

1. In admin, open Enheter → Kortterminaler (Devices → Card terminals).
2. Click the pencil beside the mobile terminal.
3. Enable Pay at Table.
4. Choose Betal-kassa (the register that records the sale and receipt).
5. Save.

The terminal also needs to support and be configured for Pay at Table with the payment provider. Contact Vendion support if you cannot start the flow on the terminal despite enabling it in Vendion.

Take payment at the table:

1. Start the payment flow on the terminal.
2. Enter the table number when prompted.
3. If several bills are open for that table, Välj nota appears. Select the guest's bill.
4. Follow the terminal instructions for the amount and card payment.
5. Check that payment completes. The receipt is created once the entire bill is paid.

If there is no open bill for the table, the terminal indicates there is nothing to pay. Check the table and bill in the register. If a payment result is unclear, check the first payment before starting again.

No mobile terminal? The waiter can instead open the bill at the table in the Vendion app on their phone and let the guest tap against it – see the guide Get Started With Tap to Pay. The guest still pays at the table, just without extra hardware. The difference is that the payment is started in the register on the phone; the Pay at Table flow, where the terminal itself wakes the bill from a table number, only exists on physical terminals.
