    Activate and Configure Online Ordering

    How to activate Online Order, generate QR codes, copy sharing links, and customize the AI assistant's personality and greeting.

    Activate ChatOrder

    1. Go to Admin → Online Order
    2. Click Activate ChatOrder
    3. Make sure your restaurant has a slug set (required for the link to work)

    Three sharing methods

    MethodDescription
    Copy linkCopy a direct link to your online ordering. Share via SMS, email, or social media.
    Generate QR codeCreate a QR code for guests to scan. Download as PNG for printing or digital display.
    Copy widget codeCopy an iframe code to paste into your own website.

    Customize AI personality

    You can customize how the AI assistant (Chat Guest) communicates with your guests:

    Predefined personalities:

    • Professional – Formal and correct language
    • Friendly – Relaxed and warm tone
    • Playful – Humorous and informal
    • Formal – Elegant and ceremonious
    • Custom – Write fully custom instructions

    Customizable fields:

    • AI name – What the assistant calls itself (e.g., "Sofia", "Vendion")
    • Greeting – The first message the guest sees
    • Instructions – Specific rules for how the AI should behave (e.g., "Always recommend today's special first")

    Tips

    • Test the ordering flow yourself before activating it for guests
    • Use QR codes on table cards, menus, or in your window
    • Update your menu in the POS – it syncs automatically to Online Order
