Activate and Configure Online Ordering

Open Online Order in admin. The module must be active for the restaurant.

Activate and choose your workflow:

1. Check the restaurant web address under Allmänt → Företagsuppgifter. It is used in the ordering link.
2. Go to Online Order → Inställningar → Grundinställningar and enable Online Order aktiverad. The switch is the same pause as in the POS: turning it off pauses online ordering until further notice, and guests see Stängt för beställning (closed for orders) for eat here, pickup and delivery. QR ordering at the table is not affected; turn it off under Beställningssätt.
3. Choose Beställningsläge: Endast meny (menu only) or Endast chatt (chat only). Chatt & meny (chat and menu) is only available when Vendion has turned it on for the restaurant.
4. Open Beställningssätt and enable Äta här (eat here), Avhämtning (pickup), Hemleverans (delivery) and/or Bordsbeställning (QR table ordering). For Äta här, enter under Hämtställe (pickup place) where the guest collects the food, for example i baren (at the bar) or vid disken (at the counter). The guest reads, for example, "Hämta i baren när den är klar". Äta här follows the ordering hours and the pause, just like pickup.
5. Decide whether staff should accept pickup/delivery orders or use Auto-accept.
6. Under Öppettider & tid, configure ordering hours, preparation time and optional advance ordering. The first time you turn on Beställningstider, the restaurant's opening hours are filled in. Choose at least one day; without any day, the hours saved last apply, or ordering is open around the clock.
7. For delivery, open Leverans and add the postal codes, fees and minimum order values you serve.

Also check payment activation and the offered payment methods. Enabling Online Order does not itself activate card payments.

Share the page: Open Dela & länk and choose Beställningslänk, Direkt till Äta här, Direkt till avhämtning, Direkt till hemleverans or Bordsbeställning. Available destinations depend on enabled ordering methods. Copy the link or download the QR code. Widgets are available for the main ordering link, eat here, pickup and delivery; table ordering offers a link and QR code for one table at a time. Without tables no table link is shown: create the tables under Bord first.

Notice when the food is ready (Äta här): The guest is notified when the kitchen marks the dishes ready on the kitchen display. Turn on guest notifications under Bongning → Gästnotiser and tick Äta här in the notification group linked to your ticket destinations. The recipient Auto sends the notice to the guest for an online Äta här order.

Customise the AI waiter: The AI waiter (AI-servitör) takes orders when the guest orders in the chat. Under AI-servitör, set a name, greeting and personality: Professionell, Vänlig, Lekfull, Formell or Egen. Select Egen for custom instructions. The tab also shows whether guests currently see the chat; with Endast meny the AI waiter is not used.

All Online Order settings save as soon as you flip a switch or leave a field. There are no save buttons.

Open the shared link as a guest and check the menu, prices and intended ordering methods before distributing it.
