Light and Dark Theme

Vendion can show in a light or dark theme. You decide what suits you best in admin and most views.
Where you choose the theme
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Choose My profile.
- Under Appearance you choose between:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Light | Light background – airy and clear in daylight |
| Dark | Dark background – easier on the eyes in low light |
| System | Follows your device's setting automatically |
The choice saves immediately and applies the next time you log in too.
Some views are always dark
The POS, the express kiosk and the kitchen screen (KDS) always run in dark theme. This is a deliberate choice: in a restaurant setting, often in the evening and in low light, a dark screen is easier to look at and less distracting. There, the theme can't be changed.
In admin and other views you control the theme freely with the setting above.
Tips
- Sitting in the office during the day? Light is often clearest.
- Working the floor in the evening? Dark or System usually feels best.
- Want the app to follow your phone's night mode automatically? Choose System.
The theme only affects how the app looks – all your data, menu and settings are exactly the same whichever theme you choose.
