    Chain Owner's Console – /chain/:slug

    3 min read#4

When your chain is created, you as chain owner get access to a dedicated console at /chain/:slug/ – separate from the regular restaurant admin. The console aggregates data from all member restaurants and provides centralized control.

    How to access

Log in as usual at app.vendion.com. If you're a member of at least one chain, you get a new sidebar icon (Building2) or the "Switch to chain" command in navigation. Click your chain → you land on /chain/burger-holding/ (example).

    Page structure

The console has the following main pages:

    PageURLFunction
    Dashboard/chain/:slug/KPIs, restaurant list, quick view
    Analytics/chain/:slug/analyticsConsolidated sales, per-unit
    Restaurants/chain/:slug/restaurangerList all member restaurants
Menu template/chain/:slug/meny-mallBuild and publish master menu
    Brand/chain/:slug/brandLock logo, colors, AI personality
    Loyalty/chain/:slug/lojalitetPooled loyalty (planned)
    Gift cards/chain/:slug/presentkortChain gift cards overview
    Economy/chain/:slug/ekonomiP&L overview
    Accounting/chain/:slug/bokforingIntercompany settlements
    Members/chain/:slug/medlemmarManage chain users
    Settings/chain/:slug/installningarFeature toggles

Pages that are hidden when the corresponding flag is OFF – e.g. Menu template only shows if central menu management is on.

Dashboard – what you see first

The dashboard at /chain/:slug/ gives you immediate overview:

    • 4 KPI cards:
      • Restaurants (count)
      • Sales 30d (sum across all units)
      • Orders 30d (total count)
      • Members (count of chain users)
    • Restaurant list – name, city, org number, clickable to jump to unit's regular admin
    • Top items table – bestsellers consolidated
    • Daily trend chart – sales over time

    Navigating between chain and restaurant

As a chain admin, you have capability inheritance – your admin rights in the chain automatically give you admin on all member restaurants. You can click any restaurant anytime and open the regular restaurant admin (/admin) – full access to menu, bookings, staff, POS, etc.

    This means:

    • No separate login per restaurant
    • No separate per-restaurant membership rows needed
    • A chain admin can manage void, discounts, staff across all units

    Example: Franchise with 5 restaurants

Alice is CEO of "Burger Buffet Holding AB". She logs in and sees:

    • Chain dashboard: 5 restaurants, 1.2 MSEK sales 30d
    • Clicks "Burger & Co Stockholm" → admin for unit A
    • Makes a menu change in the unit's admin → only affects Stockholm
    • Back to chain console → clicks "Menu template" → publishes a new item to all 5 units at once

When does the console not show?

If you're logged in but not a member of any chain, the chain icon doesn't appear. If you're a member but only in a chain where all sharing flags are off, the console still shows but most pages are hidden.

Who else can access the console?

Beyond the chain owner, only chain members in the Admin group reach the console. Regular restaurant staff have no access – they only see their own restaurant in /admin. Read more in Chain Members and Permissions.

    Mobile and responsive

The console is fully responsive but primarily designed for desktop. We recommend using a computer or tablet for chain admin tasks – especially menu templates and intercompany accounting.

Next step: If you just created the chain, follow the first-time setup checklist.
