Connect your AI to the whole chain

A normal AI connection covers one restaurant. If you are in the chain's Admin group you can instead connect your AI app to the whole chain: you connect once and reach all the chain's restaurants, without one connection per restaurant.

What you need

You are active in the chain's Admin group (Kedjeöversikt → Medlemmar, Chain overview → Members).
At least one of the chain's restaurants has Vendion Integration. The AI only reaches restaurants that have Vendion Integration.
An AI app that can connect to other services, for example Claude or ChatGPT.

Connect the chain

Start in chain admin: Kedjeinställningar → AI-assistent (Vendion MCP) (Chain settings → AI assistant).

Tap Kopiera adressen (Copy the address).
Add Vendion to your AI app with the address. The steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code are in the section.
The app opens a page in Vendion. Kedjan [name] ([number] restauranger) is already preselected under Hela kedjan (The whole chain). To connect a single restaurant instead, choose it under Eller en restaurang (Or a restaurant).
Tick Låt AI:n också göra ändringar (Let the AI also make changes) if the AI may make changes. Without the tick it can only read.
Tick Lön och personaldata (Pay and staff data) and Åtkomst och behörigheter (Access and permissions) if the AI should reach pay, absence, invitations and permissions. Both are empty by default.
Tap Godkänn (Approve).

The section in Chain settings and the Hela kedjan choice are only shown to the chain's Admin group. A franchisee who is administrator of their own restaurant does not see them. Under Kedjans kopplingar (The chain's connections) in the same section you see the chain's connections: who connected, what the AI may do and when it was last used. You also disconnect them there.

Ask about a restaurant

The AI states which restaurant each question is about. Say the restaurant's name, for example "How did Hamngatan do yesterday?" or "Which bookings does Torget have tonight?". If you don't say which restaurant, the AI asks.

In each restaurant the AI works with your permissions there, as if you were logged in to that restaurant. If a restaurant lacks Vendion Integration, that restaurant answers no while the others work as usual.

Ask about the whole chain

Four questions cover the whole chain at once:

Question	What the AI shows
Which restaurants are in the chain?	The chain's restaurants and which have Vendion Integration.
Compare the restaurants	Sales and number of orders per restaurant and for the whole chain, compared with the previous period. The same figures as the chain's Analytics.
How are we doing right now?	Today's sales per restaurant, open tabs, tonight's bookings, staff on duty and warnings, for example a till that is offline.
What sells best?	The chain's best sellers for a period, counted in calendar days with returns deducted, like the Products tab in the chain's Analytics.

The same change in several restaurants

Ask the AI to make a change in several or all restaurants at once, for example "Set account number 1581 on American Express in all restaurants" or "Show the accounting settings in all restaurants".

Reading in several restaurants happens straight away. The AI answers per restaurant, so you can compare.
Changing in several restaurants first shows what will happen and in which restaurants, for example "In 8 restaurants in Kappa (…): the function update_payment_method runs with …". Your yes applies to exactly those restaurants and that change.
The change is made restaurant by restaurant. If a restaurant says no, for example because it lacks Vendion Integration or the payment method has another name there, the answer says so. The other restaurants have still received the change, and it is not rolled back.
If you ask about a single restaurant the AI only changes it there, and changes that affect a lot at once first show what will happen in that restaurant.

Every change appears in that restaurant's Integrationslogg (Integration log), with the app's name and who connected it.

What the franchisee sees

The chain's connection is shown in every chain restaurant under Integrationer → Vendion MCP → Hantera (Integrations → Vendion MCP → Manage), labelled Kedjans koppling: gäller alla restauranger i [chain] (The chain's connection: applies to all restaurants in [chain]). The franchisee can see it but cannot disconnect it. The person who connected it, the chain's Admin group (in Chain settings) and Vendion can.

When something changes in the chain

A restaurant leaves the chain: the AI no longer reaches it through the chain's connection.
A restaurant is paused: the AI does not reach it while it is paused.
You leave the chain's Admin group: the connection closes at the next question and does not reopen. Connect again if you get the access back.

If something doesn't work

Message	What to do
Ange vilken restaurang frågan gäller (State which restaurant)	Say the restaurant's name in the question.
Kopplingen når inte restaurangen: den hör inte till kedjan, eller är pausad (Not in the chain, or paused)	Check the name. The AI lists the chain's restaurants in the same answer.
Vendion Integration är inte aktivt (Vendion Integration is not active)	Contact Vendion to activate Vendion Integration in the restaurant.
Ingen av kedjans restauranger har Vendion Integration (No chain restaurant has Vendion Integration)	The chain can't be connected until at least one restaurant has Vendion Integration.
Bara kedjans Admin-grupp kan koppla hela kedjan (Only the chain's Admin group can connect the whole chain)	Ask a chain administrator to add you to the Admin group, or connect a single restaurant.
