    Troubleshooting – Card Terminal

    Most card terminal problems are solved with a few simple steps. Work through the list from top to bottom.

    Terminal not responding / slow:

    1. Check that the terminal is switched on and has battery or is connected to power.
    2. Restart the terminal and wait until it has fully started up.
    3. Try taking payment again.

    Terminal shows "Assigning…" or won't become active:

    • A recently added terminal can take up to about 3 hours to become active the first time.
    • Go to Devices → Card terminals and click Refresh status.
    • Check that the correct serial number was entered when the terminal was added.

    Terminal isn't switched on in the app:

    • Under Devices → Card terminals, check that the terminal is active (the toggle is on) and shows the Payment-ready badge.
    • Check that the terminal is connected to the right register under Devices → Registers → Hardware.

    Network problems:

    • Check that the terminal and the register have internet (wifi or mobile network).
    • Try reloading another page or app to confirm the connection is working.

    A payment was cancelled or got stuck:

    • Wait a few seconds – sometimes the terminal needs to finish the previous payment.
    • If you see "Terminal is busy", wait until it's free and try again.
    • The bill is never completed unless the card is approved, so you can safely start again from Pay.

    Still not working: If the terminal still doesn't work after restarting and checking the status – contact Vendion support. Have the terminal's name and serial number ready to speed things up.
