Activate Card Payments – Onboarding and KYC

Before you can accept card payments, your restaurant needs to be registered and verified. It's a one-time setup done right in the app and usually takes just a few minutes to complete.
Where to do it: Go to Finance in the admin view and find the Card payments card.
Step by step:
- Check that your company legal name is correct (pre-filled with the restaurant name).
- Click Activate card payments. A secure page opens in a new tab.
- Fill in company details, owner/signatory details and the bank account where payouts should be sent.
- Return to the app and click Refresh status.
Once everything is done, the status changes to Verified and the Payment readiness box shows "Ready for card payments".
What is KYC? KYC stands for "know your customer". It's a regulatory check that everyone accepting card payments must complete – it confirms who owns the business and where the money should be paid out. You only fill it in once.
Good to know:
- You can pause and continue another day – the verification saves your progress.
- Vendion handles all the technology behind the scenes. You don't need your own agreement with a card acquirer.
