Activate Card Payments – Onboarding and KYC

Card payments must be activated for the restaurant before you start taking payment. You need permission to manage card payments.

Where: in admin, open Försäljning → Betalmedel → Kortbetalning (Sales → Payment methods → Card payments), then the Kortbetalning (Adyen) card.

Have this ready:

• ID (passport, driving licence or national ID card) for the authorised signatory
• Personal identity number and home address for owners and the signatory
• Login to the company's online bank, or a bank statement showing the account number and the company name

It takes about 10 minutes.

How to activate:

1. Check Bolagets juridiska namn (company legal name). The restaurant name is prefilled. Change it to the company name exactly as registered with Bolagsverket: a restaurant name that is not the company name stops the application at Adyen.
2. Choose Verksamhetstyp (business type).
3. Click Aktivera kortbetalning. Adyen's secure form opens in a new tab. Organisation number, address and customer service contact details are filled in for you when Vendion has them.
4. Complete the parts of the form: company details, owners and signatory, payout bank account and the terms.
5. Click through to the last step, where you accept Adyen's terms. Without accepted terms Adyen cannot approve the application, even when everything else is filled in.
6. Return to Vendion and select Uppdatera status (refresh status).

KYC means know your customer: Adyen checks the business, its owners and signatory, and the payout account.

See what remains: While something is missing, the card lists the parts of the form with a status for each: Klart (done), Återstår (remaining), Granskas av Adyen (being reviewed by Adyen) or Behöver rättas (needs correcting), and what is missing. Select Öppna KYC-formuläret to continue where you left off; what you already filled in is kept. Open the form from Vendion again instead of bookmarking the temporary form link.

Read the status:

• Ej aktiverad: card payments have not been started.
• Slutför KYC: something remains in the form. The list on the card shows what.
• Granskas hos Adyen: everything is submitted and Adyen is reviewing it, usually within a couple of days. You do not need to do anything.
• Åtgärd krävs: the business is approved, but the payout account needs completing. Card payments cannot be taken until it is done.
• Nekad: Adyen could not approve the application. Open the form to see what needs correcting, or contact Vendion support.
• Verifierad: business verification is complete.

If something needs completing, it also shows in the notification bell, for example Slutför registreringen för kortbetalning.

Is someone else filling in the form? If an owner or signatory without a Vendion login should fill in the details, Vendion can send them a link. The link is valid for 30 days, can be opened several times and shows the same list of what remains.

Also check Betalnings-beredskap (payment readiness). It shows whether card payments are ready or something remains, such as payout account verification. Verifierad alone does not confirm that every requirement has been met.

Once payment readiness is complete, connect your terminals or Tap to Pay. Your agreement sets the fees and terms. Contact Vendion support if you need help continuing.
