Your Own Image on the Card Terminal

The card terminal shows an image on its screen while it waits for the next payment. You can replace it with your own, for example your logo. You upload one image, and Vendion makes it the right size for each terminal you have. You need permission to manage devices.

Upload an image:

1. In admin, open Enheter → Kortterminaler (Devices → Card terminals).
2. Under Bild på kortterminalen (image on the card terminal), tap Välj bild (choose image) and pick a PNG or JPG file.
3. Choose Placering (placement):
   • Visa hela bilden (show the whole image) – the whole image is visible, and the rest of the screen is filled with the background colour. Suits a logo.
   • Fyll skärmen (fill the screen) – the image covers the whole screen, and the edges that do not fit are cropped. Suits a photo.
4. Drag Storlek (size) to make the image larger or smaller, and drag in the preview to move it.
5. Under Bakgrund (background), choose the colour around the image. Vendion suggests the colour in the image's corner.
6. Tap Skicka till kortterminalerna (send to the card terminals).

The preview: There is one box for each type of terminal you have, with the terminals' names underneath. The box shows exactly what will appear on the terminal. Anything shaded outside the frame is not shown, and below the box you see how much of the image is visible. The terminals have different formats, so the same image can be cropped slightly differently.

When does the image appear? The terminal fetches the image within a few hours and shows it after its next nightly restart, normally at 06:00. Restarting the terminal yourself is not enough. Under Bild på kortterminalen you see the image the terminals have right now.

Back to the standard image: Tap Återställ standardbilden (restore the standard image) and confirm. Your image is removed from all card terminals, and they show the standard image again after the next nightly restart.

Tips for a good image:

• Use a high-resolution image. A small image becomes blurry when enlarged.
• A logo is clearest on a single-colour background.
• Keep important text away from the edges if you choose Fyll skärmen.
• A photo may get slightly fewer colours so that it fits the terminal.

If something does not work:

• The Bild på kortterminalen card is missing – the card only appears when the restaurant has a physical card terminal. A phone using Tap to Pay has no such image.
• "Bilden blev för stor" (the image became too large) – choose a simpler image, for example a logo on a single-colour background.
• "Kortterminalerna tog inte emot bilden just nu" (the card terminals did not accept the image right now) – try again in a while. If it says the image reached one of the terminals, just send it again.
• "Kortterminalerna är inte kopplade till er butik hos Adyen än" (the card terminals are not connected to your store at Adyen yet) – contact Vendion support and we will sort it out.
