    Tips

The tip options guests can choose from are set under Försäljning → Betalmedel → Dricksförfrågan, in the Dricksval card. The same list applies to Tap to Pay and to the restaurant's card terminals.

    You can offer:

    • Percentage presets – for example 10, 12 and 15%.
    • Fixed amounts – for example 20 and 50 SEK.
    • Custom amount – the guest enters their own figure instead of a preset.

The terminal shows at most four options, and a custom amount takes one of the slots.

With Tap to Pay, the tip prompt appears on the phone's screen before the guest holds up their card, and the chosen tip is added to the amount charged. Whether the phone shows the tip screen is switched on and off under Tap to Pay dricks further down the same page. Whether a card terminal asks for a tip is set per terminal under Enheter.

This is a setting for the whole restaurant, not per phone or terminal. It's configured in admin – it isn't in the register's own settings.

When the change shows up: phones using Tap to Pay use the new options within a minute. Card terminals start showing them after their next nightly restart, normally at 06:00 – restarting the terminal yourself is not enough. If a terminal has its own tip settings in Adyen, the card shows a warning; contact Vendion if that happens.

Tips are reported as usual: they carry through to the Z report and to the staff tip breakdown.

    Costs

You'll find Tap to Pay costs under Bokföring → Vendion-kostnader → Tap to Pay. There you see the figures per period, alongside other Vendion costs such as SMS.

The card transaction itself is reported like all other card sales: it's included in settlement and paid out to your account on the normal schedule. See the article on settlement and payouts.
