Every time a balance changes, Vendion saves a movement. The movement log is your history – it answers "why does it say only 4 left?" without guesswork.
How to open the log:
- Go to Admin → Inventory
- Click Movements in the top right
- A list unfolds with the most recent changes
What each row shows:
- Time – when the movement happened
- Item – which product it concerns
- Type – why the balance changed (see below)
- Change – how much, green for plus and red for minus
- Balance after – what was left immediately afterward
- Note – e.g. the reason you wrote when recording waste
Movement types, explained:
| Type | What happened |
|---|---|
| Sale | The item was sold at the POS |
| Void | An order was voided, the quantity came back |
| Return | A guest returned an item, the quantity came back |
| Receipt | You received a delivery |
| Stock count | You recounted and set a new balance |
| Adjustment | Manual change with plus/minus |
| Set manually | The balance was set to an exact number |
| Waste | The item was discarded, not sold |
| Recipe depletion | Ingredients were drawn when a dish was sold |
Tip: Plus means something came into the stock, minus that something left it. Reading the rows top to bottom shows the item's whole journey.
