Vendion launches AI visibility for restaurants

Lysekil, Sweden, 17 August 2026 — Vendion launches AI visibility for restaurants. The feature makes opening hours, menus and prices available through a public profile and an interface that connected AI clients can query directly.

AI visibility is included in the existing subscription and is off by default. Each restaurant decides whether and when to make its information public.

Three different kinds of availability

A restaurant can be open while online ordering is paused. Guests may also be able to book a future visit when the venue is currently closed. A single “open” or “closed” label cannot explain all of this.

Vendion separates:

• Restaurant opening hours: when guests can visit.
• Online ordering status: whether that channel is accepting orders.
• Table booking status: whether the booking channel is available.

For example, the venue might be open until 22:00, pause online orders during the evening rush and continue taking bookings. Reading only the ordering status would give a misleading impression of the restaurant.

A public profile and direct queries

The public profile makes information accessible to services that read and index web pages. An MCP interface also allows connected AI clients to retrieve information from the system when a question is asked.

These are different ways of accessing information. An indexed page may reflect an earlier version. A direct query can retrieve the information currently recorded, but only when the client uses that connection. Enabling the feature does not mean that every question in ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity is routed to Vendion.

The restaurant remains responsible for keeping its menu, prices and hours current. External AI services decide which sources to use and how to phrase their answers. Making information available therefore does not guarantee a ranking, recommendation or error-free response.

Guests continue directly to the restaurant

This launch covers information and links. Guests continue to the restaurant’s own ordering page, booking form or telephone. This feature does not process orders or payments inside an AI assistant.

Vendion charges no additional commission for AI visibility. The normal terms for payments and other services still apply.

Enable it when the information is ready
