Vendion takes over the historic Swedbank premises

What does Vendion’s new office mean for restaurants choosing Vendion as their supplier?
Vendion’s move into the former Swedbank premises in Lysekil gives the company room to grow with development, support, sales and marketing under one roof. For restaurants choosing Vendion, it is a signal of a long-term supplier building both its product and organisation to grow together with its customers.

Vendion has signed an agreement to take over the former Swedbank premises in Lysekil. The well-known space, with its large open areas and clear banking history, will become the new base for Vendion’s continued investment in restaurant technology.
For Vendion, the move is about more than additional office space. The company is building a restaurant system where POS, card terminals, online ordering, table booking, staff scheduling, analytics and AI are connected from the start. As more parts of the company grow, Vendion also needs a place that can support the next step.
A space with history
The former bank premises have long been part of Lysekil’s town centre. Large windows, open areas and a substantial entrance give the space a distinct character.
There is still a sense of history in the building. It is easy to understand that many people in Lysekil have a relationship with the place.
Now the premises will have a new role.
Instead of bank errands, they will house development, support, sales, marketing and the continued work of building Vendion from Lysekil.
“This is a space with both weight and possibility. You can feel the history when you step inside, while the open areas are very well suited for what we are building. There is room to grow here,” says Mikael Selander, founder and CEO of Vendion.
Room to grow
The premises offer generous open areas, good acoustics and a layout that can be shaped around the company’s needs.
For Vendion, it is important to build a team where different parts of the company work close to each other. Support needs to understand the product. Development needs to hear the everyday reality of customers. Sales and marketing need to be close to what is actually being built.
That kind of work requires space where people can meet, talk and solve things together.
“We wanted a place that feels serious, but also alive. There is space, good acoustics and room to grow. It feels right to build Vendion from premises that have already played an important role in the town,” says Mikael Selander.
A stronger presence in Lysekil
Vendion is being built from Lysekil with the ambition to become a strong supplier to restaurants in Sweden and the Nordic region.
Moving into the former Swedbank premises is therefore also a way to take a clearer place locally. Not as a small side office, but as the company’s base.
From here, Vendion will continue developing its system for restaurants that want fewer systems, less double work and better control over both service and margins.
The next step for Vendion
Vendion is now entering a phase where product development, customer dialogue and company building will grow in parallel.
The new premises provide room for that.
For restaurants choosing Vendion, it is also a signal of the kind of supplier the company intends to be: long-term, present and built to grow together with its customers.
Move-in and adaptation of the premises will take place step by step.
